Recently, someone (I wont post their email, but they listed their site as being here) recently posted what has got to be one of the most epic comments I have ever read, in reply to my latest post - 5 Reasons To Host Your Own Blog.

Now, I thought about emailing this guy in reply, but then thought it might be better to post a public reply, so everyone can see my opinion on this subject.

Firstly, I’d like to point out that this isn’t a make-money-online blog. This blog is vastly, above anything else, focused on web and graphic design (and to lesser extents, web development, marketing, blogging, and general internet news). If there does happen to be a few money-making articles on here, that’s because they somehow relate to marketing, blogging or web design/development. Or perhaps I just find it interesting.

Secondly, I’m not saying that people wanting to voice their opinions or people without credit cards (heck i’m only 16 so don’t have one either) should reject blogger or similar free services just because of what I’ve written. All I did was post an article, stating my top 5 reasons for hosting your own blog. In fact, in about a day you’ll also see the follow-up that I wrote with the top 5 reasons not to host your own blog. For some reason, this guy has taken my little article as a personal offense worthy of a comment longer than the article itself.

That’s all I really have to say. Just though I’d feed the monkey when he dances..
