Today I woke up, had a shower, checked my emails - just what I usually do in the morning before school. But guess what was in my inbox? None other than an Entrecard Coupon for 500 Points. Unfortunately, It wasn’t sent direct (it was sent to my email address) so I can’t thank them directly. I have now learned (thanks to a very helpful commenter - thanks Tom!) that it was Jeff from Buzzmyblog.com - thanks Jeff!
Turns out I won his weekly competition (which I hadn’t even remembered entering!) and now I have an awesome review over on his blog, and 500 Entrecard points! This really just re-iterates my previous post on competitions and why you should enter them! So I suggest you all get over to Buzzmyblog.com and enter the weekly Buzz!

Whenever you think of contests, most of you will just turn the other way. I mean, come on, how often do people really win those things, right? Well that’s not entirely true.
Did any of you hear abou Winningtheweb’s huge blog contest? Yes? No? Doesn’t matter. All you need to know is it was huge! $14,000+ worth of prizes, free entry, multiple entries available with participation. A simple winning formula to a good blog competition.
So why enter these types of contests? Why not! To start with, why not create a new category for your blog; perhaps call it “Contests”. This is the category you’ll use to blog about the contests to earn extra entries. Not all contests will require this, but some will.
Now, head over to a blog contest site or blog such as contestblogger, and check out the currently running contest and competitions that you can enter.
Simply follow the instructions of that competition, and cross your fingers!
Setting an example for my not-yet-posted post, how to make money with contests, I’ll start by entering this contest by Johncow.
Johncow.com is holding a contest sponsored by Top Hosting Center, and up for grabs is a sweat XBOX 360 along with a copy of the hotly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV from Rockstar. You can enter by going to their contest post, and reading the instructions. Basically you can blog about the contest (like I did), sign up to Top Hosting Center as an affiliate (like I did), comment on other blog’s posts about the contest (like this post), etc.
So if you want a chance of winning, start by blogging about the contest, then sign up to Top Hosting Center as an affiliate, then comment on this post right here on my blog. That right there will nab you 525 entries! The contest ends at the end of this month (30th April 2008) and is open to anyone :D Good luck!
